French Vineyards Of Bourdaire-Gallois and Philippe Dumont
French vineyards of the families Bourdaire-Gallois and of Philippe Dumont, located in the Champagne regions of France, produce the grapes from which we offer French Champagne. The French vineyards in the far north of the Champagne region includes that of the Bourdaire-Gallois family. Following the traditions of families with French vineyards David Bourdaire-Gallois was given some French vineyards by his parents, and from the French vineyards of David and his parents 65,000 bottles of French Champagne are now sold each year.
The soils of the French vineyards in the northern area do not support the Pinot Noir champagne grapes. The Champagne house of Bourdaire-Gallois therefore grow Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier grapes in the family owned French vineyards. Chardonnay grapes from French vineyards in this region produce a Champagne of high quality. French vineyards in the mountains of Reims are where the famous Pinot Noir grape is grown. The Champagne House of Philippe Dumont is located amongst the French vineyards of this region. The grapes harvested from the French vineyards of Philippe Dumont are complimented with grapes from local French vineyards, to create his own blend. Two of the Philippe Champagnes, the Brut and the Brut Reserve are recommended in the "Guide Hachette 2004"
