Apple Cider of Clos de la Fontaine Hugo
Apple cider made by traditional methods by the Turck Family of Picardie. The farm of Monsieur and Madame Turck produces Apple Cider as dry or medium apple ciders. The Turck Family has been making apple cider for generations in the Thierache region of Picardie. The apples for their distinctive apple cider are grown in their own farm orchards and other selected Orchards of Thierache.
Their Apple Ciders when tasted, have a hint of other fruits and nuts, reflecting the excellent quality of the apples used in the fermentation of the apple cider. A further testimony to the excellence of their apple cider are the annual awards collected by their apple cider since 1995. The aromas and flavours of the apple cider are more fully appreciated by being served cold. Both the Dry Apple Cider and the Medium Apple Cider have an alcohol content of 5%abv. A refreshing drink of apple cider can be enjoyed at any time, but the apple cider can also be served to compliment many foods. Serving apple cider with a platter of meats; the regional "Tarte au Maroilles"; with pork or rabbit dishes, or with deserts such as Crepes, is always appreciated. The Brut Apple Cider, which is a dry traditional French apple cider, and the Demi-Sec Apple Cider, which is a slightly sweet traditional French apple cider, can both be purchased from FrenchFlavour.Co.Uk The apple cider, sold in Champagne style bottles will retain its "fizz" for around 5 to 7 days after the bottle of apple cider has been opened, if it is tightly resealed.
