In such a diverse country as China there is always something new to add to your photographs of China, and make you wonder why you had not come across the subject during earlier visits. These photographs were not taken in places that are usually visited by tourist groups, but they present a glimpse of what can be seen, off the beaten track.
The Great Wall Of China, Tianamen Square, and Terracotta Warriors, might well deserve their popularity in the photographs of China, but for something different to photograph and to add to your albums, it is a good idea to leave the large cities behind and venture into the small towns and countryside.
For the first time, a photograph of a monkey has been included on the Beifan websites, or perhaps it should read, a photograph of a free roaming monkey. That is what we found when visiting the old city of the Zhuang Minority Group, where monkeys were very active, particularly near the open snack bar, where they were certain to recieve a morsel or two of food from the visitors!
The monkeys were not the only ones that had found a source of food, but whereas the monkeys were fed with titbits by visitors, the domestic duck shown in these photographs, was rummaging through rubbish dumped near a beach. It can be seen from the photograph that the duck was in good shape, but may have seen an unresistable morsel amongst the debris.

Originally all photographs were monochromatic, or hand-painted in color. Although methods for developing color photos were available as early as 1861, they did not become widely available until the 1940s or 50s, and even so, until the 1960s most photographs were taken in black and white. Since then, Color photography has dominated popular photography, although black and white is still used, being easier to develop than color.
The advent of the microcomputer and digital photography has led to the rise of digital prints. These prints are created from stored graphic formats such as JPEG, TIFF, and RAW. The types of printers used include inkjet printers, dye-sublimation printer, laser printers, and thermal printers. Inkjet prints are sometimes given the coined name "Giclée".
