Artificial Flowers And Plants: Colorful Display In Wangfujing Street Of Artificial Flowers and Plants in Containers

There were always plenty of colorful flowers and plants to enjoy when visiting Wangfujing Street in Beijing. A visit in Winter was no exception as the containers presented a mass of color in the artificial flowers and plants that were there for the enjoyment of the visitors. The artificial flowers and plants used to fill the containers were not affected by the weather, they did not need feeding, watering, nor weeding, yet it was difficult to believe that they were artificial. Artificial flowers and plants made in China are sold in many countries of the world, including the UK.

One Autumn day during a journey to the local town, a hanging basket by the front door of a house, gave a very colorful display of fuchias, and they were observed with envy! How had they lasted so long? What had they been fed with to produce such a mass of color? A few weeks later they were observed again and were seen not to have changed, despite some very frosty weather. It was only then that it was realised the display was of artificial flowers and plants ! Perhaps this is something to consider for future years !
