Boulders: Excavations For New Halls Exposes Boulders Previously Used In Foundations.

Boulders were not the only thing brought to light during the excavations for new building work at the temple. The digging revealed what appeared to be a very long boulder, but which turned out to be the foot of a very large statue. Heavy lifting gear was required to move the stone foot to safer ground, for study and display. Other boulders were unearthed as excavations proceeded but none as interesting as the 'boulder foot'!
